The Glen Ellyn Village Board held a meeting on Monday, February 25th, 2019 at 7:00PM on the 3rd floor of the Glen Ellyn Civic Center to discuss annexation of Maple Hollow and other surrounding properties. Owners and renters were encouraged to join to hear changes concerning the property. The annexation of Maple Hollow and adjoining properties was set as Agenda I for the meeting. The Maple Hollow board and few community members spoke at the meeting and requested clarification from the Glen Ellyn Trustees and Staff.

Garbage Service

The Village of Glen Ellyn will take over garbage service beginning Monday, March 25th, 2019. All the new garbage and recycling containers have now been delivered, so please put them outside on Sunday night and back into your garage after pickup. Containers cannot remain outdoors past garbage day or will result in a violation per the association rules.

Monthly Village Service Bill

Monthly service assessments are mailed to units at the start of the month. If the bill is not paid by Day 21 of the bill mailed out, there is a 10% late fee applied to the account. Residents can pay monthly service dues in three ways:

Forms

The village has requested residents to fill out a “Village Services & Registration Form” available on their website. This form is required to notify the village:

• How billing is to be set up for your account
• Size of Recycling Container
• Size of Trash Container
• Vehicle Registration

Indicate to the Village of Glen Ellyn the size of cart you wish to receive. If you do not indicate a container size, you will be issued a 65 gallon container and will be charged for that size.

Vehicle Stickers

The deadline to display Village vehicle stickers is April 30. You are required to purchase and display a current Glen Ellyn vehicle sticker for all vehicles registered to a Glen Ellyn address. This includes leased vehicles, company cars, and vehicles kept outside of the Village. Residents can purchase their vehicle stickers three different ways:

To use this free service, available 24/7, visit the Village website. You must use the unique ID and license plate number for each vehicle on your pre-printed application to purchase your stickers online. You can make any changes needed to the information on the form when purchasing. However, any changes such as car to truck, truck to car, or resident to senior cannot be done online. Please visit the Civic Center, 535 Duane Street, to process those changes. Following the online completion, your vehicle stickers will be mailed promptly.

At the Civic Center
Residents also have the option to purchase their vehicle stickers in person at the Civic Center, 535 Duane Street. Stickers can be purchased during normal business hours, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Via Mail
Residents may also submit their application and payment via the mail. Upon receipt, your vehicle sticker(s) will be mailed promptly.

Apply sticker to the passenger side lower right hand corner of the windshield. Failure to do so may result in a fine if you are pulled over.

To keep all units looking visually consistent, the unit address above the garage and mailboxes will be modified by an association approved contractor. Repairs and repainting will also be contracted.

Re: Exterior Lights, Parking and Census Form

Homeowner;

It has been noted some of the exterior lights on your units throughout the community are burnt out. Lights on the exterior of your unit should be checked on a regular basis. A well-lit home is less likely to be a target of vandalism or being broken into.

Replacement of the exterior lights is the responsibility of the homeowner. Please have light bulbs replaced by January 7^th, 2019. If the bulbs are not replaced by that date the association will send someone out to change your bulbs and charge your account for the service call and the bulbs. If your fixture is in need of replacement or repair please contact a licensed electrician.

We’d also like to takethis opportunity to remind homeowners that street parking is NOT allowed on the Tanager Ct. orCreekside Ct. streets during the hours of 2a.m. – 6a.m. or to obstruct thepassage of vehicles on the property. During the winter season it is especiallyimportant to NOT park in the streetsto allow plows access to get through and remove snow. Guest parking spaces areto be used primarily by guests only and are not intended for the use ofhomeowners. We kindly ask that you park your vehicles in your garage and/ordriveway. Those who are in violation will be towed at the homeowner’s expense.

American Sealcoating is doing seal coating on Thursday and Friday Aug 9-10th, restricting access to streets and driveways. Crew members will be out on Thursday, Aug 9th at Tanager Court, and will continue work on Friday, Aug 10th at Creekside Court, weather permitting. Please have all cars out of the street, driveways, and guest parking by 7:00AM. Any cars blocking the crew will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Seal coating takes 24 hours to cure, therefore overnight parking accommodations are available at the Divine Mercy Church located across Swift Road. Street parking on Lynn and Swift is prohibited, and may result in a ticket by the DuPage County Sheriff or tow.

Keep posted to this website construction page, newsletter (sign up at the bottom of this page), Twitter feed, and our Facebook page for important parking instructions. The schedule is constantly changing due to weather and construction progress on other areas. We are actively working with the contractor to make sure we communicate information as it becomes available.

Driveway and road work on Tanager Ct. and Creekside Ct. are in full swing. Parts of the street and driveways will be inaccessible, and you may need to park on the streets of Tanager Ct. or Creekside Ct. for a few nights. To ensure parking for everyone, we are trying to split work between the two streets. However, this may not be enough and we need your help. We are requesting all tenants to find a neighbor (i.e. “buddy”) with whom you can share your driveway for the night. In turn, they will share when your driveway is blocked.

Parking on Swift Rd and Lynn Rd are not permitted. Violators may be ticketed for illegal parking by DuPage county sheriff.

Schedule subject to change due to weather and construction progress on other areas.

Wednesday October 14th- Tanager & Creekside

Street sealcoating will affect all units. Both streets will be closed for 24 hours.

Please have your cars out of the driveway, guest parking, and streets by 7:00 A.M. Do not park around cul-de-sac, grass, or the street as cars will prevent contractors from doing work. Cars parked in driveways will be blocked in for 24 hours. Violators will be fined and towed if they are blocking the road. Residents may return after street barriers are removed 24 hours later.

Tanager parking is with DarusSalam Foundation Mosque (gravel area), and Creekside parking arrangements is with Divine Mercy Polish Mission Church. Please park at your designated location, as everyone parking in one lot will overwhelm the lot and make future permission difficult. Please park at those locations on Wednesday only, then move cars back to your own unit on Thursday. Only a part of Lynn Rd. is permitted to park only on Wednesday and Thursday, see map below. Do not park on Swift Road, as violators may be ticketed by the DuPage County sheriff. We do not have permission to park at the Willow Lake Apartments.

Tues., Oct. 6th, – Creekside
Driveway top coat and street repairs

Driveways will not be accessible for 24 hours to allow asphalt top coat to cure. Do not park around  cul-de-sac, on unfinished driveways, or the street as it prevents the semi-trucks and equipment from doing work. Violators will be stickered or towed if they are blocking the road. Residents may park in front of their own driveways after 7 P.M. and return on the driveway when string and reflective tape are removed.

Garbage pickup will remain as scheduled, with the construction crew moving for Waste Management. Place all bins and cans on grassy surface if possible.

Parking arrangements have been made with Willow Lake Apartments. Please park there temporarily from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. on Tuesday only, then move cars in front of your own unit after 7 P.M. Please ensure your cars are not blocking the other cars, or entry to homeowner driveways.  Do not park in front of hydrants and stop signs. Do not park on Lynn or Swift Road, as violators may be ticketed by the DuPage County sheriff.

Mon., Oct. 5th – Tanager
